A Taste of the Season: Meyer Lemon Vodka Cocktails

Try CHARBAY's Meyer Lemon vodka in these classic cocktails.

November kicks off the best time of year for fruit in California, where Charbay’s Meyer lemon vodka is produced. Meyer lemons taste similiar to traditional lemons, but the tartness is toned down and there is a slight sweetness, making them a perfect fruit for recipes and cocktails.  The vodka is made from crushed whole Meyer lemons (skins and all) to extract the flavor and color. The extraction is then integrated into the clear vodka. The following cocktails emphasize the crisp, fresh flavors of the Meyer lemon.

CHARBAY Napa Valley Iced Tea
2 ounces CHARBAY Meyer Lemon Vodka
1 teaspoon chambord
Iced tea (regular or mango)

Fill a 12-ounce Collins glass with ice. Add Meyer Lemon Vodka and Chambord and fill to top with iced tea and mix; garnish with a lemon wedge.
CHARBAY Meyer Lemon Drop
1/2 ounce CHARBAY Meyer Lemon Vodka
1/2 ounce Cointreau
Juice of 1 Meyer Lemon (retain 1/2 of the rind)
1 ounce simple syrup

Muddle ingredients, including rind, in a shaker. Add ice and shake; strain into a sugar-rimmed martini glass. Garnish with lemon wheel.

 

CHARBAY Meyer Lemon Bloody Mary
2 ounces CHARBAY Meyer Lemon vodka
2 ounces V-8
1 teaspoon creamy horseradish
2 shakes worcestershire
2 shakes tabasco
Salt and pepper to taste

Fill a 12-ounce Collins glass with ice; mix all ingredients; garnish with an unpeeled cucumber stick.

 

CHARBAY Summer Breeze
2 ounces CHARBAY Meyer Lemon Vodka
3 ounces orange juice
1/2 ounce pineapple juice

Fill a 12-ounce Collins glass with ice; mix all ingredients and garnish with a lemon wheel.
