New Chef Jerome Bacle was born and raised in France, worked at various Michelin-starred restaurants and served as sous chef at Philadelphia’s Le Bec Fin. Bacle, who came on board in September 2008, has tweaked the contemporary American menu to highlight his own style, but certain things will never change at Courtright’s. Among them is the generosity and enthusiasm of owner William Courtright, whose family has a long history in the hospitality industry (don’t miss a glance at the Tree of Life stained glass window in the lounge, representing the family’s legacy). Wine director Brian Egebrecht, who recently earned his Certificate of the Quartermaster Sommelier, oversees an expansive wine list and offers cellar tours for guests, while also promoting the homey use of wine doggie bags.
