VinItaly 2009

Wine Enthusiast expands its presence at Italy's extensive wine trade show.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine will double its presence in 2009 at VinItaly, the world’s largest trade show dedicated to wine, taking place in Verona, Italy on April 2-6, 2009. For more than 15 years, the magazine has had a presence at the annual exhibition, but this year is upgrading to a bigger post in the newly refurbished Media Hall, between pavilions 4 and 5.

In 2008, VinItaly played host to more then 4,300 producers from 30 different counties. Some 47,500 visitors, including trade, representing more than 100 countries attended during the first two days alone. Press accreditations totaled 2,700 from 50 countries.

The magazine will also present a special seminar and tasting, guided by Italian Editor Monica Larner, of all the Italian wines that appear in our “Top 100 Wines of the Year,” “Top 100 Best Buys” and “Top 50 Cellar Selections” classifications. Each Italian producer on the list will receive an awards certificate and will have the opportunity to pour and present his or her winning wine.

Tickets to the seminar can be purchased under the “Tasting Express” area of vinitaly.com. To receive a  free badge, which entitles members of the wine trade to free admission plus other benefits (a saving of over $100) at the world’s largest international wine trade show, please register online at: www.vinitaly.com/badge_estero/.
