Cuisine Description

The cuisine at 5 & 10 is a confluence of Old World and Southern cooking. “I think heart and curiosity drive this,” says Wine Director Steven Grubbs. “The wine and food fuel each other.”

Wine List Description
The wine list features nearly 200 selections, each with a footnote, and a few with longer descriptions. “Hopefully all the wines tickle the mind a little and have good stories,” says Grubbs. “I tend to like wines with a raison d’etre.”

"It is, and probably forever will be, the somewhat wine-unfriendly frogmore stew."

Roasted pheasant and hen of the woods mushrooms with Tikves’ Bela Voda (a red blend of Vranec and Plavek) from Macedonia.

Wine Events
5 & 10 hosts a number of winemaker dinners throughout the year. Custom wine tasting menus are also available to customers. “I pair wines and get to yammer on about them,” says Grubbs.


Wine Enthusiast Magazine announced the third annual issue of America's best wine-centric establishments, and to commemorate the list, WE hosted a rooftop party where we honored this year's recipients and toasted the exploding culture of wine and food.
