Riot-Worthy Dish
Wine Enthusiast editors asked America's 100 Best Wine Restaurants of 2013 "which dish would start a riot if it was taken off the menu?" Their riot-worthy dish is…
"A16 is known for its Neopolitan-style wood-fired pizzas from certified pizzaiolo, Chef Christopher Thompson. The restaurant’s other signature dishes include the house-cured salumi and hand-cut maccaronara."

Perfect Pairing
A16 works with local farmers to highlight seasonal offerings. The tuna conserva with dried fava beans is delicately garnished with fava leaves, and, when paired with Clelia Romano’s Fiano di Avellino, is an ideal homage to Southern Italy using local ingredients.

Wine Events
Every February, A16 pours wines awarded tre bicchieri by Gambero Rosso’s Vini d’Italia wine guide by the glass in honor of the Italian tour that comes to San Francisco, helping to educate guests on some of Italy’s best wines. In March, the restaurant hosts an annual charity evening on Festa della Donna (March 8), pouring wines exclusively produced by women winemakers.

Video

Wine Enthusiast Magazine announced the third annual issue of America's best wine-centric establishments, and to commemorate the list, WE hosted a rooftop party where we honored this year's recipients and toasted the exploding culture of wine and food.
