Cuisine Description

California cuisine defines the menu at Saison, where wine and food change together with the seasons, and “always play nice,” says Mark Bright, sommelier and co-owner.

Wine List Description
The wine list has more than 1,500 selections, with a heavy focus on Burgundy (60 percent of the list). Champagne, RhĂ´ne, Austria and older vintages of California wine are other areas of depth.

Riot-Worthy Dish
Wine Enthusiast editors asked America's 100 Best Wine Restaurants of 2013 "which dish would start a riot if it was taken off the menu?" Their riot-worthy dish is…
"While the menu changes with the seasons, the brassicas dish (featuring plants in the mustard family like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and rutabaga) has been most present without change and is always anticipated by the guests."

Perfect Pairing
A perfect pairing would be aged Pinot Noir and aged bird (generally around 30 days).

A monthly wine school is offered in the lounge.
