La Clarine Farm 2012 Josephine + Mariposa (Sierra Foothills)

“This blend of 72% Grenache and 28% Mourvèdre is sourced from a vineyard site perched upon an old lava cap and vinified by Hank Beckmeyer, who expertly crafts natural wines in the Sierra Foothills of California,” says Sommelier Patrick Dorsey.

The Wine Program
This Los Angeles staple boasts a global list that spans boutique producers, biodynamic/organic wines, unusual grapes and well-known vineyards, skewing about two-thirds Old World. There are approximately 180 bottles on the list, with 20 by-the-glass picks. Don’t miss the Alpine section, with interesting red and white finds.

Favorite Dish
The “Croque Madame”—yellowtail sashimi, prosciutto, a sunny-side-up quail egg and grilled brioche bread—has been a perennial favorite.

Corkage Policy
Corkage is $30 per bottle, with a five-bottle maximum per table.
