Featured Wine
“I recently tasted a 2007 R. Merlo Family Syrah from Trinity County, California,” says Pridgen. “The property is located over 100 miles north of Napa and Sonoma in the Hyampom Valley. High elevation and very cool nights lead to a long growing season that translates to great complexity of dark fruits, spice and minerality.”

The Wine Program
Some 30 wines are available by the glass, along with 200 bottle and half-bottle selections at this envelope-pushing eatery. “Our wine list itself is a little edgy and in your face, and features art from many local artists,” says Matthew Pridgen, sommelier and general manager. “Our wine selections mirror our food menu, in that we deal with small, artisan producers.”

Favorite Dish
“The only dish that’s been on the menu since day one is the Korean braised goat and dumplings,” says Pridgen. “The dish is spicy and culturally correct with good heat levels, and pairs perfectly with a sparkling rosé like the Mas de Daumas Gassac.”

Corkage Policy
Corkage is $15 per bottle for the first three bottles, and $40 thereafter.
