Wine Industry Loses Two Major Icons

We say goodbye to Willy Frank of the Finger Lakes and Rodney Strong of Sonoma.

This week saw the passing of two leaders in the wine industry.

Willy Frank, a tireless promoter of New York state wine, died of a stroke Tuesday, March 7 in Naples, Fla. at the age of 80.

Rodney Strong, the former Broadway dancer whose forty-year career in the wine business made him one of the most respected vintners in Sonoma County, died March 5 at age 78.
