Patrick Campbell, founder of Laurel Glen Vineyard, a Sonoma producer known for Cabernet Sauvignons, sold the winery to a group of investors led by wine-industry veteran Bettina Sichel. Some industry insiders heralded the move as “the end of an era.”
More American drinkers are turning to Sherry, according to the New York Times. It’s driven by bars mixing Sherry into creative high-end cocktails and specialty shops and restaurant sommeliers pushing the wine.
