Jean-Charles Boisset and Gina Gallo Married

The union joins two industry dynasties, both on the move in the U.S.

Jean-Charles Boisset, scion of France's third largest wine company, and Gina Gallo, granddaughter of Julio Gallo, grand-niece of Ernest, and a public face of E&J Gallo, America's largest winery, were married Sept. 26 in a private ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel's newly remodeled penthouse suite, with a spectacular view of San Francisco.

Some 100-plus guests attended, many of them members of the large Gallo family.

The union joins two dynasties that are both on the move in the U.S. Boisset Family Estates, of which Mr. Boisset is President, has recently acquired a string of properties, including Raymond Vineyard & Cellar, in August. The company is the American arm of Boisset, La Famille des Grands Vins, the biggest winery in Burgundy, which on September announced its newest acquisition, the Burgundian producer Antonin Rodet.

Ms. Gallo is head winemaker at Gallo Family Vineyards, the upscale arm of E&J Gallo, which also has been acquiring properties throughout California.
