Also included in the portfolio are the Mas Mallola ($45) and the Loidana ($30). All three wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts, transferred to and from barrel by gravity and aged in French oak.

The annual event, held at the McCall Vineyard and Ranch, benefitted four regional charities (East End Hospice, Group for the East End, the Peconic Land Trust and the Long Island Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Foundation), with guests tasting current releases, barrel samples and rare library wines from local winemakers, as well as dishes and bites from the region’s restaurants, farmers, fishermen, cheesemakers and other food artisans. A silent wine auction was held alongside the Festival Tasting. In addition, Wine Enthusiast hosted a raffle. Amongst the 1,300 guests in attendance was New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is a big advocate for the state’s wine regions. Read more >>>
