Raffles Praslin

Praslin Island, Seychelles

Easter Sunday in paradise just got a little sweeter, thanks to the festivities planned at the luxurious Raffles resort. An egg hunt will commence in the morning on the sugary-white sands just off the Indian Ocean, and a fully costumed Easter bunny will make an appearance in time for high tea (note: there’s a buffet stocked with chocolates). But the celebrations don’t end there. In the evening, adults clad in white can drink and dance under the moon at the “Easter White Full Moon Party” held at the hotel’s sleek rooftop lounge.

The Pour: “There are no specific rules for pairing wine with candy,” says Food and Beverage Director Christian Floren. “It’s more about the aroma of each wine which fits the particular chocolate best.” Floren recommends Rooiberg Winery’s 2011 Pinotage Rosé from South Africa, with its notes of spice and plum, to match Easter chocolate.
