International Alsace Varietals Festival: a celebration of food & wine in Anderson Valley If you share our passion for Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Muscat, don't miss this weekend-long celebration of Alsace-style wines, food pairings and more. Saturday events include an Educational Session, followed by a tasting of international wines and small plates at the Alsace Varietals Grand Tasting and an entertaining 30 minute food/wine pairing demonstration with Master Sommelier, Evan Goldstein, author of "Perfect Pairings" Enjoy a special dinner designed by Chef John Ash at the Alsace Festival Winemakers Dinner held in Scharffenberger Cellars' elegant private dining room. A sumptuous, sit-down dinner will be prepared by a renowned local chef and John Ash. Each course will be perfectly paired with wines featured at the festival or locally produced. Visit our local wineries on Sunday for their open houses, including seminars, food and wine pairings, tours, and more. It's an event that will brighten even the darkest winter month!
