3rd Annual NYC Winter Wine Festival - 2/4/12 On February 4th, NYC’s favorite wine tasting takes to the Best Buy Theater (formerly NOKIA) in Times Square once again as we transform this prime venue into a winter wonderland brimming with wine… a vineyard of gargantuan proportions, if you will! Enjoy wines from all over the world – great Zinfandels from California… Super Tuscans from Italy… full-bodied Bordeaux from France… and some fantastic wines from Latin America. More than 200 wine selections to taste in all!
In previous years, this now annual event was named the “must attend event” of the first weekend in February by NBC Local Television. And for the last two years the event SOLD OUT… so make plans NOW to be sure you warm up with us and sip amazing wines during one of two sessions: Last years’ sessions added up to more: more wine, more food, and more room to stretch out and enjoy… this year, join us for all that and more!

MUSIC: This year, for your sipping and swaying pleasure we present “Nu Jazz” artists Four80East, performing in the final hour of each session (5-6pm / 10-11pm). Inspired by the acid jazz/groove movement flourishing in the UK in the late 90’s, Candian remix producers Tony Grace and Rob DeBoer (collectively known as Boomtang) launched Four80East as a cool, creative side project geared towards a loose, improvisational dance vibe. Over the last decade, as chill music established itself as a genre, their jazz inflected urban trance music — considered “trip-jazz” or “Nu Jazz” – became a global phenomenon. Born as a small indie UK release in 1997, “The Album” went on to revitalize the smooth jazz world the following summer when the first single, “Eastside”, broke through in the US to became the 7th most-played track on Contemporary Jazz radio that year. Several albums and Billboard Chart positions have followed as the smooth Jazz community continues to embrace their sound. Visit www.nywinefestivals.com for tickets & details.
