The first mention of Chianti was discovered on a scrap of vellum dating back to 1398. On that paper, the winemakers of three small towns formed the Lega del Chianti and took the rooster as their symbol. At that moment, the history of Tuscan wine began. This class is a trip through the beautiful vineyards of Chianti Classico with a focus on its history of amazing wines. As with all of our classes, education comes with a few perks. To show the beauty and range of Chianti, we will be openig the finest and rarest bottles from our extensive collection of Tuscan wines. If you are a lover of classic Italian wines, this is the class for you.
