This Bordeaux-style blend opens with roasted black-fruit aromas as well as gritty, rustic notes of animal hide. The palate has a crisp, firm, balanced feel and flavors of blackened spices, green herbs, blackberry and roasted meat. An herbal-leaning, minty finish is raw and choppy in feel, with a lasting flavor of cocoa powder. Drink through 2018.
