The Maharaja Batch No. 13 is one serious beer with an intense nose of thick citrus oil, mango and peach accented by hints of nectarine pit and sweet resiny pine. It's a constant back and forth between the rich caramel malt and toffee-like flavors and the strongly astringent hop core, but it all balances out into one complex beer. Lush and creamy in the mouth, the high alcohol is in balance and the finish is long and lingering. Overall, this is an intense, robust and masterfully crafted full-flavored beer that doesn't go too far over the top.
