Blending Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Lemberger and 12 other varieties, this is a veritable kitchen-sink blend, but with verve. Dark and brambly on the nose, with fresh cut herbs and shots of red cherry, the medium-bodied palate follows suit and prickles with specks of black pepper. Zippy acidity and mild tannins make this a well-balanced offering, great alongside pizza and pastas.
Formerly working in the Finger Lakes wine region of upstate New York, Peartree's passion for terroir-expressive products, which spans from wine to cider and tea, is only rivaled by his love of canoeing and hiking. He prefers to focus on wines from Virginia, Michigan, Texas and other smaller U.S. regions, as well as domestic and international cider.
