Lemon juice/straw color. Gives off a fresh, lightly briny and almost flowery (rose petals?) bouquet in the first couple of whiffs; later sniffings find traces of orange blossom, lemon drop candy, lightly roasted malt, cocoa and sea breeze. Palate entry is delicate, buttery and remarkably smooth, considering the cask strength; the midpalate features sound, solid and flowery flavors that are enhanced by hints of sweet malt, palm oil, bourbon cask, sulfur and sea salt. Aftertaste is brief, nimble and malty.
