Made with Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo, this medium-bodied red initially opens with rather funky aromas that eventually burn off in the glass to reveal dark berry, tilled soil and a whiff of baking spice. The ripe palate offers juicy wild cherry, ground pepper, dried aromatic herb and an earthy note of game alongside smooth tannins.
