Aged in a mixture of French and American oak, of that, 33% new, the barrel notes of vanilla and spice are at the fore followed by cherry and herbs. It's blended with 19% Merlot where all the fruit is coming from Alder Ridge Vineyard and made in a lighter style—the oak providing a significant amount of the flavor and feel.
