Ten different vineyards scattered from the Willamette on down to the Rogue valley are sourced for the Wine By Joe, the budget bottling from Dobbes Family Estate. This is a fine effort for the price, crisp and fruity with plenty of cool climate citrus character. Tart red fruits lead into a tight, hard finish, but there is none of the weedy, stemmy flavor that cheap Oregon Pinot can acquire.
