A solid but flawed wine with eight years of age behind it. The nose is mulchy and gaseous, but with time it settles on raisin and raspberry. The palate is tannic, grabby and strained, with jammy berry flavors and a clampy finish. Has its positive points but aged grace and integration aren't among them.
