Although this Grand Cru vineyard is better known for its Gewurztraminer, its limestone soil makes it equally good for Riesling. Gustave Lorentz has produced a 2001 which is already maturing, with some petrol character. But there are great, clean fresh flavors and a soft, citric character, which suggest it could still develop.
