Subdued aromas of dark berry, violet, culinary spice and eucalyptus lead the way. On the full-bodied but no-frills palate, notes of anise and clove accent a core of black cherry alongside supple but not very persistent tannins. It's savory but already approachable, with a slightly fleeting finish. Drink 2018–2023.
