Inky violet in the glass, this wine offers aromas of cassis and licorice. Tart fruit comes on strong at first, followed by mouth-coating tannins. Flavors of cherry, blueberry, smoke and juniper are at their best after a glass is exposed to air for a few minutes. Bright acidity and a not unwelcome touch of fruit sweetness punctuate the silky finish.
