Dark and viscous in the glass, this wine shows chipped asphalt, concentrated blueberries, uncracked peppercorns, budding violet, chocolate cake and earthy, black loam on the packed-with-potential nose. The soft and plush palate carries that loamy flavor forward, with dried black-cherry fruit and a menthol-like sensation leading into the finish. Drink 2018–2022.
