This kosher performer begins with a strong whiff of smoked meats and some unbridled grapey aromas. The palate is fairly complex, with plum, licorice, coffee and mineral notes. The finish is rather spicy, bordering on hot. Despite a touch of bitterness on the back end, it's got a lot going for it.
