A marvelous value, the Tavola brings bright raspberry fruit, spicy black tea and Dr. Pepper flavors to the fore. Details include streaks of licorice and baking chocolate; it's got great complexity for a wine in this price range, and steers clear of the vegetal/leafy stuff that plagues a lot of Oregon Pinot. This is complex and almost satiny as it swoops through the finish.
