The dark, black fruit on the nose and palate of Ray Len's Carolinus red blend is ripe, but a bit tired and dusty, competing for attention with all the dark, toasted oak. It's a straightforward Carolina red with a hint of tomato leaf and not a lot of structure, but fine for everyday fare.
