Blistered cranberries, seared plums, slate, sandalwood and a whiff of pine forest pop on the nose of this bottling by Santa Barbara-raised winemaker Steve Gerbac. The palate bursts with energy, showing flavors of black sage, cherry, tart cranberry, pan-toasted herbs and cedar verve. The elements will focus and be even better 2017–2023.
