Beefeater base with a delicate infusion of pear flavor. Initial nosing passes detect the telltale, semisweet botanical London Dry thumbprint of Beefeater but with a subtle fruity enhancement; time serves only to bring out the pear component a smidgen more, except that it reminds me more of banana than pear. Palate entry is nicely textured, semisweet and elegant; it isn't until the midpalate that I can isolate the pear/banana element from the rest of the botanicals. Finish is long, fruity in a slightly bitter pear peel way and full on the tongue. I commend Beefeater for trying something different and a little bit daring.
