Somewhat disappointing compared to prior years. This vintage, despite its sky-high price, is good enough. But when push comes to shove it just isn't that satisfying. The nose is cheesy and heavy, with more cured meat and hot dog aromas than fruit. And the palate is syrupy and sort of flat, with canned papaya and finishing flavors of mustard and anise seed.
