You can identify a wine of quality by the way it evolves and improves in the glass. And that's exactly what happens with this wine, whose nose started rather woody, but eventually revealed deep eucalyptus, chalk and earth notes. The palate, likewise, unfolded from unadorned black fruit to reveal nuances of carob, nut and cinnamon. Has wild and wooly tannins, but is moderate enough in size to enjoy with food. Very enjoyable.
