Racy and rambunctious, with a potent yet pretty nose featuring tons of red licorice and cassis. This is old-vines Garnacha, and it has some tannins that could use a few years to settle in. Nonetheless the chocolate and coffee flavors are fine, and there's a sweetness that grows on you. Drink beginning in late 2004.
