Aromas of underbrush, prune, plum steeped in spirits, leather and fennel lead the nose. The ripe, fleshy palate shows mature wild cherry, pomegranate, white pepper, eucalyptus, licorice and espresso alongside brooding tannins. This is more about sheer muscle than complexity, and the heat of alcohol that gives a one-dimensional character.
