This completes the 2005 Syrah quartet for Waters Syrahs. Very well made, both soft upon entry and substantial in midpalate, this mixes berries and cassis, accented with bourbon barrel, coffee grounds and smoke. If there is a complaint, it's that it's been pushed to 14.6% alcohol, and suffers somewhat as a result from a hot finish.
