The self-described “devilishly handsome sommeliers” launched the Wine for Sophisticated Homies podcast in 2013, discussing subjects as diverse as the seedy underbelly of wine bars and NebbiYOLO. “The Homies was our way of being able to make industry friends laugh while memorizing things like Hungarian wine region spellings,” says Booth, who, along with Draper, spent time on the LA standup comedy circuit before falling for wine. “And yet, our subversive, industry practical joke actually ended up finding an audience.”
