Rue became so serious about craft beer that he ditched a promising law career to follow his on-draft dreams. Starting out as a humble homebrewer, Rue is now the world’s eighth Master Cicerone, and The Bruery is one of the most respected craft breweries in the nation. He produces new brews in innovative ways: Half of his beers, for example, are aged in wood barrels for a year or more. Also invested in improving the local craft-beer scene, Rue co-founded the Orange County Brewers Guild, where he serves as president.
