With a 5,000-square-foot urban winery space, Norris and Monroe created a hub in Portland with Division Winemaking Company for custom-crush production and wine exploration. Visitors can taste creations from resident winemakers as well as New and Old World picks at the winery’s bar. “We are always tinkering with new wines, many with varietals not well known to the Willamette Valley,” says Monroe, adding, “We have a skin-fermented orange Chardonnay wine that we have been aging for three years coming out soon.” Planning a trip to Portland? Don’t miss special winery events that include Drink Chenin Day and the Nouveau Division Crawl, which celebrates Beaujolais Nouveau.
