Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year (and with a new Wine Director, Stephen McGinnis), L’Etoile looks for the same qualities in its winemakers and food suppliers: small grower-producers who express time and place. The Champagne selection is a strong feature of the 500-bottle list, along with Rieslings from Germany, Austria and Alsace.

Riot Dish: “Since L’Etoile features a menu of rotating dishes inspired by seasonal ingredients, there isn’t one particular dish. Our current menu includes dishes like Carabineros Shrimp with celeriac, Oscietra caviar, and harissa as well as dishes from our past on our 40th anniversary menu, like a Crème de la Coulée St. Jennifer Tarte Tatin with cherries, caramelized onions and prosciutto.”
