When you toil hour after hour in a vineyard, in a winery, behind a desk, or on the floor of a retail store, it may not feel, at the end of the day, like an outstanding achievement. Yet with the passing of years, perhaps decades, the diligence pays off.
The editors of Wine Enthusiast Magazine are proud to announce the winners of the 2006 Wine Star Awards for outstanding achievements in the wine and spirits industries. There is creativity, experience and keen judgment involved in making wine and distilled spirits, as well as marketing them and selling them in such a way that the product connects with people on an emotional level. Our recipients have all excelled in bringing the lifestyle of wine to consumers worldwide.
The Wine Star Awards have quickly become recognized as the signature honor in the industry—an outstanding achievement in recognizing outstanding achievement, if you will. Our ten recipients will be honored at a gala event in New York City on January 29, 2007. It is, as always, a night for our stars of the wine industry to shine and be recognized.
