Champagne has long been the traditional way to ring in the New Year, but with cocktails making a comeback and the increasing variety of premium spirits to choose from, party revelers are coming up with creative ways to celebrate.
According to www.thebar.com “Toasts and Tastes” survey, conducted by Harris Interactive and December 27, 33% of alcohol drinking adults prefer vodka as an alternative to Champagne for a New Year’s cocktail. Rum was named as the second most popular New Year’s alternative with 24%.
“Whether you’re sitting at your friend’s house or hosting a fancy dinner, New Year’s is about creating a festive atmosphere and a memorable experience,” said Mike Sachs, spokesperson for thebar.com.
