With vibrant blue trim that echoes the Florida sky, there’s a little bit of Provence in this Naples cottage. When owner Jacques Cariot and his wife, Lysielle, retired from the south of France in 1999, they couldn’t help bringing it with them. Thus, frog’s legs, foie gras and duck confit—the makings of traditional French cooking—shine on the menu overseen by Chef Lysielle. Jacques’ son, Clement, shares the duties of wine director with his father, who takes pride in his personal relationships with 80% of the producers on the Franco-centric wine list. Though this dish is not always in season, ask for the Dorade Royale stuffed with figs and fennel, cooked in banana leaf, and paired with Château Simone’s white from the miniscule appellation of Palette.
