Worn, ochre walls recall a Tuscan sunset, the wood-beamed ceiling adds a rustic note and the glowing outdoor patio is right out of Positano. Owner Jack Evrensel has done everything he can to capture the magic of Italy from the décor to the food and wine. The Mediterranean cuisine of Chef Francois Gagnon comes to life in an open kitchen that features heritage wood-fired equipment. Specialties include white truffle risotto, which Michael Gameli, wine director, who has passed his advanced level from the Court of Master Sommeliers, pairs with a 2003 Nebbiolo from Poderi Colla. Main courses are complemented by the desserts of Michelin-starred Patissier Thierry Busset. Beyond the central dining area is a secluded private room; surrounded by floor-toceiling wine, it’s like dining in a friend’s personal cellar.
