Napa Valley’s Beringer Vineyards is collaborating with Food Network stars Jamie and Bobby Deen for the second annual Million Meals campaign. Pine Ridge Vineyards, also based in Napa, is launching its “Buy a Bottle, Feed a Family” program. For every bottle of Pine Ridge and Forefront by Pine Ridge bottles purchased, the winery will donate $1 to a local food bank. More information is available on its Facebook page and Twitter account.
Expression, which sources its wines in California’s Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast, Santa Rita Hills and Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, has created the “Case for a Cause” program: Purchase a case or half-case of selected wines and $50 goes to the Foundation for America’s Blood Centers.
Cru Vin Dogs is launching the new Loyal Companion series of wines to benefit man’s best friend: A portion of the proceeds will go to local animal shelters and rescue groups benefiting orphaned dogs. The series includes two wines from Sonoma County, California: a Chardonnay and a concentrated red blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Zinfandel.
