Delicato Family Vineyards Matriarch Dies at 84

Dorothy L. Cardoza Indelicato, the matriarch of Delicato Family Vineyards, died on May 5 in Stockton, California. She was 84.

A graduate of Stockton College, Mrs. Indelicato began working with her husband, Vincent Indelicato, in the family wine business in 1956. She served on the Family Board of Directors, was an active member of the Audit and Finance Committee as well as corporate treasurer of Delicato Family Vineyards.

She was active in the Manteca Chamber of Commerce, Manteca Visitor & Convention Bureau, Manteca Mayor’s Committee on the Arts, Stockton Symphony Comes to Manteca, St. Dominic’s Hospital Council, Delta College Foundation and many others.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by two children, Marie Mathews and Robert Indelicato, her brother Edward Cardoza, and four grandchildren.

Napa Valley Public Relations Professional Dead at 59

Terry Hall, a Napa Valley communications and public relations professional, died on April 20 after a long battle with kidney illness. He was 59.

“Terry was not only a gifted creative professional, but also one of the warmest and kindest people I’ve ever met,” Mia Malm of Malm Communications said.

Born in 1957, Hall came to the Napa Valley in 1997, where he worked as the communications director for Trefethen Vineyards and later became the spokesman for the Napa Valley Vintners. He co-founded the Symposium for Professional Wine Writers.

After leaving NVV, Hall started his own communications consulting business called TH ink.

Hall was a passionate advocate for Clinic Ole, a community health center in Napa with eight locations, where he served on the board. He was also a board member for Visit Napa Valley.

He is survived by his father, Duane “Bud” Hall, and an older brother, Larry Hall. His mother, Anne, predeceased him.
