Friends and Colleagues:

We have been deeply saddened by the destruction and loss of life as a result of the recent devastating wildfires in Northern California. In addition to impacting the communities, friends, family and colleagues we hold personally dear, many members of our own Bay Area-based team have also been directly affected and displaced.

We have received numerous emails, texts and calls from Californians detailing the incredibly sad events taking place in regions that we as a family and company have been closely connected to for over 40 years. To say the news has been heart-wrenching is putting it mildly. But we also have been reminded through these events of the collegial unity, culture of kindness and unflinching resolve of these local communities and the wine industry.

As an information resource, Wine Enthusiast has actively covered the fires, which burned more than 245,000 acres in Wine Country and destroyed more than 5,700 structures across the state, on our Business Industry Enthusiast site. You can read our latest coverage here.

Wine Enthusiast Companies is planning relief donation efforts for both short- and long-term support of those most affected by the week’s events and will be announcing details shortly. In the meantime, we continue to share and promote updated round-ups of suggested donation outlets published here on our website.

We remain closely connected to California Wine Country and stand behind the communities affected in these dire times as these historic regions recover and continue to represent the best that our country and wine culture has to offer.

With optimism,

Adam, Sybil, Erika and Jacqueline Strum & the entire Wine Enthusiast Companies family
