CK Mondavi & Family announced that the family’s fourth generation is officially becoming more involved in the business. The six members of this generation, known as G4, are now shareholders in the company.

Two of them, Angelina Mondavi and Lucio Mondavi, are also members of the board of directors as well as brand ambassadors.

The others, Alycia Mondavi, Giovanna Mondavi, Lia Mondavi and Riana Mondavi are all brand ambassadors. Riana Mondavi was also named director of national accounts, on premise.

Rothschild Names Véronique Hombroekx as Managing Director

Baron Philippe de Rothschild has named Véronique Hombroekx managing director of its Branded Wines division. Hombroekx, who assumed the job in January, according to her LinkedIn profile, will oversee brands including Bordeaux’s Mouton Cadet and Chile’s Escudo Rojo.

She replaces Hugues Lechanoine, one of the privately owned company’s three managing directors, who left earlier this month. According to his LinkedIn profile, Lechanoine was the CEO of Baron Philippe de Rothschild for eight years.

Hombroekx has a background in marketing, sales, supply-chain management and planning from her roles as CEO for Campofrio Food Group’s Imperial Meat Belgium unit, and as area director for the coffee and snack company Mondelēz International.

Geyser Peak Gets New Winemaker

Geyser Peak winery announced the appointment of a new winemaker, Randy Meyer. A Santa Rosa native, Meyer has more than 30 years of experience in the Northern California wine industry.

Meyer, who went to UC Davis, interned at Piper Sonoma and Far Niente before spending 23 years with Korbel and, most recently, Draxton wine. Geyser Peak is owned by Australia’s Accolade Wines.
